Volunteers Needed
The Delta School District is hosting a Newcomer Early Years Family Fun Fair on Friday November 21 at the North Delta Recreation centre. The fun fair is for any families with 0-5 year-olds who consider themselves Newcomers. They have a range of early learning/family activity areas that are paired with key information and services for Newcomer families.

Youth volunteers would help by hosting play areas, helping families navigate the event, serving food, and tidying up at the end. Volunteer certificates are provided.

Any youth are welcome to help out but in particular it would be very helpful to have youth who speak one of the languages spoken by many recent newcomer families to Delta. (Arabic, Hindi, Pasto, Persian, Punjabi, Spanish, Somali, Tgrinya, and Ukrainian. Tagalog & Korean would also be helpful).

The event runs 4-7:30 on Friday November 21 at the North Delta Rec Centre.

The volunteer time is 3:15 until 8.
