Grad Boat Cruise – Thursday, October 2, 2025

Ticket Sale dates and cost will follow.

Students will travel by school bus from Sands at 4:30 pm to the Bayshore West Marina and return by school bus to the school by 13:00 pm. The “Pride of Vancouver” will cruise from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. During this memorable 3 hour cruise, students will enjoy a dinner buffet and dance while cruising Vancouver’s scenic waterfront.

Dress is casual/formal (NO jeans) but students should bring a sweater/jacket because it will be cool later in the evening.

Smoking/vaping is not allowed in, or within sight of the bus or boat. Students must have submitted a signed Grad Activities Contract before purchasing a ticket. All expectations of the school’s Code of Conduct apply and any infraction could result in loss of extra curricular privileges including not being permitted to attend future Grad activities.

Red Carpet – Friday, May 22, 2026

The Red Carpet event will be held in the Sands front parking lot prior to the Grad Banquet. Family members and friends are invited to join the Grads for photographs as they make their way up the red carpet and are introduced to their guests. Guests are asked to park on the street or at the church unless disabled. Tickets are not required, but there will be limited seating which will be available on a first come first served basis.

Grad Banquet – Friday, May 22, 2026 (5:00 – 10:00 pm, Group photo at 5:30 pm)

The Grad Banquet will be held at the Qualchina Golf Course. This is a formal event for Grade 12 students of Sands Secondary only. Tickets sales and cost will be announced at a later date. Bus transportation from Sands to Qualchina Golf Course and return to Sands will be provided (and is mandatory) for all students attending the Grad Banquet.

The After Party (Dry Grad) happens after the school graduation dinner banquets, which are planned separately.

Grads will enjoy a night of fun, food, prizes, and entertainment in the company of their graduating friends. It allows grads to celebrate in a safe and fun environment, with the activities going until the wee hours of the morning!

Sands’ Valedictory Ceremony will be held in the North Delta Secondary School Theatre on Wednesday, June 24th, from 6:00 pm until approximately 9:00 pm.
